Tasmania lanceolata

An attractive small shrub or small tree with elegant lanceolate foliage, and brightly contrasting maroon red stems. In spring inflorescens of pinkish buds open to creamy white flowers, with centres of yellow stamens. Dark red berries follow in autumn, ripening to glossy black. The plant is highly aromatic and both leaves and berries are used as a sweet peppery spice.
