Sassafras albidum

Grows to be a small tree with conspicuous lobes and stunning autumn colour. The leaves are pale green in spring and summer, turning brilliant shades of orange, red and yellow in autumn. Racemes of tiny yellow flowers. May need protection from late spring frost when young.
