Hibiscus moscheutos ‘Midnight Marvel’

A compact, well branched, deciduous shrub with extremely large, deep scarlet red flowers,up to 22cm across. The eye catching flowers open from abundant, glossy, black/red buds which cover the plant, making it bloom for much longer, continuously from mid-summer to autumn. The blooms really stand out against the thick, deep wine red, purple foliage. Cut down in spring before the new growth appears.
