Deeply divided leaf with with nine long pointed lobes, curling slightly under, similar to ‘Trompenburg’. Deep red with a pronounced green vein in spring, changing to rich brick red through summer, with the red seeds appearing above the leaf and orange red autumn colour. Slow growing, a gorgeous maple.

The name means “Elegant”
