Acer palmatum ‘Kamagata’
Well drained neutral/acid
Small leaves mainly five-lobed, but can be three. Lobes widely separated with some side lobes being at a right angle. The lobes are also slightly curved upwards and tend to twist, giving the plant an entirely different look. As the leaves emerge in spring the edges are strongly tinted with red, with a summer colour of green. The autumn colour is brilliant being shades of yellow, orange and scarlet. Forms a small, rounded bush.
